I'd love to have a go at this. Doesn't seem to be too many places to go to in the Midlands though. I could do with finding a Novice friendly club and having a go. I used to Down Hill race and always wanted to give it a go . Never too late i guess !

Bit of an update..... on Tuesday i went to my local track in Nuneaton. Some great guys there . I turned up to have a look but took my old helmet just incase i could have a go. I ended up having a ride on a couple of bikes and absolutely loved it. For me my fave was a cruiser. Probably because of my mtb race background that i felt more comfortable on it. So ..... not only am i looking for burner im also looking for everything i need to start riding the track on a cruiser ! :D

Keith how did you get on? (Don't say "I just cocked my leg over" )

Lol

Well I'm still getting there. Had an odd couple of months. Bit of a money crisis, and associated domestic discussions, coupled with a bad chest infection almost had me selling the Haro as soon as I'd got it. The old Mojo was on a right up and down again. Was getting rather frustrated to keep losing out on bargain priced full face race helmets on eBay (Still have not got one!) I'm going to have to bite the bullet and just get one for a bit more than I ideally wanted (tight arse! Haha)

I'm healthy again and am now feeling enthusiastic once more. Got to give it a go...

I fancy a go at that too. Is it Nuneaton? That's not a million miles from me.

Had my first ever go on a track at the Chandlers Ford/Eastleigh Freespace park after work today.

I was absolutely kacking it on the first go, and was very tentative. Got 3 or 4 complete runs (not of the botty variety) in and was just starting to get used to it when thunder rumbled, the heavens opened, lightning hailstones and everything!

I've never seen teenagers move so fast, the skate park and track cleared in about 5 seconds!

Oh well I'll give it another go tomorrow then off to Gosport for proper beginner training on Saturday. I loved the feeling of the berms, running near the top then sweeping down off them onto the straights. What a rush, and I was probably going so slow too haha!
