Hi Guys,
Not sure how many chicks you have on this site, so I just wanted to say hi.
I have just bought my self a burner, I think its MK1 (yellow and red).
It's in quite good condition just needs a good clean and a bit of tlc really.
Problem is the chain doesn't look to hot at the min, I don't think it will last long.
How do I go about sourcing parts for my new toy, I've checked out fleabay but all I can seem to find chain related are the cranks and bearings etc, not the actual gold chain.
Any help would be great.
Cheers Guys x

Hi,

I'm a new one on here as I've just bagged an Aero F&F! Good luck with your project and keep in touch to update.

Welcome to BW. Looks like you've got a very tidy ride there. I'm no expert on Burners but it looks pretty much stock spec to me.
It's a good idea to swap some parts if you'll be using it daily but whatever you do don't throw anything away...even the chain, reflectors and those old tyres will have value.
It's amazing what a soak in some petrol and a bit of a scrub will do to a chain.

Welcome in! Fast on advice round here as its a top forum with community spirit.
I'd replace the chain as they do get weaker after 25 years. Still keep the old one in a bag greased up tho.
I agree you got a good stock red/yellow there defo as iconic as the blue. Where it all started for a lot of us.
