Cleaver Dad! It's paid off.

Yes it is possible to get a lay back seat post without a shim, but they are hard to come by. I fitted one to my MK1 chrome as the thicker post morrors the thickness of the frame tubing and keep the lines flowing:

I've got some Skyway Tuffs to go on and a NOS R nut for the seatpost clamp. I'm not sure whether to add decals or not though.

That looks good Looking at that i wish i bought some mags now, i had an idea of doing a gold theme with the wheels, pedals, etc. id like to put a new crank in it mines a bit scruffy, whats my options with that any ideas?

There are plenty of gold Raleigh parts outs there that will bolt straight on.

Have you tried cleaning your crank with coke and tin foil before swapping it for another?

no just been flicking through ebay, thought i might get some thing a bit more bling, are all one piece cranks a standard size for bmx :?:

Nope.

Ideally you want a crank length between 175, and 180mm, with a 24tpi thread like a Sugino or Takagi crank as found on Burners.

Il try cleaning it up before i part with any cash, il post some more pictures when i get it back together. thanks for all the info.
